Sher Bagh guests Christian and Katrin visited Ranthambhore in mid February, just as the Winter thaw was leading to Spring. Coming from sultry Singapore, where they currently reside, Rajasthan was a welcome break for the couple, and proved to be a lucky one, as far as sightings were concerned.
With plenty of game to catch; a profusion of deer and antelope, lurking crocodiles and a smashing splattering of birds besides, Christian (who is an amazing blend of photographer and artist) was kept very busy. A sighting of the tigress Noor (T39) therefore came as a happy surprise and as she came closer turned into a moment of powerful inspiration.
Their departure from Sher Bagh into the National Park was slightly delayed and as they drove towards the Park, right ahead of them emerged the young tigress, on the main pilgrim road leading up to Ranthambhore Fort!
Here we shall let his lens do the talking while we share both Christian and Katrin’s message to us on seeing their first tiger in the wild:
“It was delightful to have the chance to capture some photos of this lovely animal. Spread these pictures out into the world so that many people will see them and maybe awake their souls to take care of nature…”
Thank you Christian and Katrin, we look forward to your next visit already!
