The SUJAN family reached a milestone this month as Sher Bagh was re-opened to celebrate it’s 15th season in Ranthambhore. To mark the occasion, Jaisal & Anjali Singh decided to take this opportunity to re-launch Sher Bagh and take the camp to an even higher level of comfort and luxury for their family, friends and guests. Over the summer the teams have been hard at work and visitors to the camp B this year will find it has had a complete make over. Enjoy newly designed tents, each with extended bathrooms, larger living space and eye catching new upholstery designed by Anjali Singh and hand embroidered by her team of incredibly skilled artisans. Spacious, light and even more comfortable than before they have already been a big hit with guests!
This season visitors to Sher Bagh also have the option to stay in one of the new tented suites that have been added to the camp line up; taking the total room inventory up to 12. Designed to encompass complete privacy and peace, both The Royal & Luxury Suite are hugely spacious. The glorious bedrooms lead into a beautiful en suite stone bathroom, each suite also includes a separate lounge area fit with a writing desk, wonderful books and a private sit out to unwind after a days safari. Can’t decide with Suite to go for? Does a private plunge pool or your own outdoor jacuzzi sound more tempting?!
There are many more surprises to discover around the camp, The Lounge and Dining Tents have both found new locations, creating further space and more intimate set ups and the new Boutique carefully curated by Anjali Singh has lots of beautiful presents for you to take home. Her own personal ‘Safari Chic’ collection has been flying off the shelves and guests can even enjoy ban exclusive ‘Sher Bagh Collection’ by Halycon Days.
The SUJAN Spa has a new tent, new menu and new therapist, all three of which bare allowing guests to further relax and indulge. bA latest claim over tea time last week, heard one guest say that the Sher Bagh Spa had just given her best massage bof her life! Appointments have been block booked ever since!
The celebrations were not only happening within the camp, but those heading into Ranthambhore National Park B on safari have had a fantastic start to the season with excellent wildlife sightings. Guests couldn’t believe their luck as almost every drive was filled with with wonderful stories to report back to Camp. Brat, (T19) one of our favourite tigresses whom has grown up in front of the SUJAN Family, was also in a celebratory mood and came and introduced her 3 cubs to many of our guests.B As if welcoming everyone back for the start of this new season, many of our other most well known and loved tigers came out to play. Junglee (T41) and Babur (T6) still evidently “in love” were seen at their usual haunts. The “Big Daddy” of Ranthambhore Ustad (T24) and his princeling Sultan were sighted in various sections of their territory. In characteristic form Star Male (T28) also appeared and disappeared in carefully set intervals.
Sloth Bear, Leopard, Crocodile and array of birdlife were also recorded, making the opening week of this 15th Season unforgettable.
Thank you to our friend Sarvin for sharing some wonderful pictures with us! We look forward to seeing you soon at Sher Bagh.
