As the temperatures slowly start to drop, so approaches the opening of the new Tiger Season in India. We at SUJAN’s Sher Bagh are delighted to announce that we will be opening our doors for the 15th year. During the closed period we have done some refurbishment’s and changes which we know you will love. For now, however, let us focus on the tigers. It is estimated that this season there are over 50 tigers in Ranthambhore National Park, and statistically speaking Ranthambhore must be one of the best parks in the world to see a wild Tiger. Our guides are experienced, professional and enthusiastic – we can promise that they will go all out to give you the best possible chance to see the biggest cat on earth. If that were not enough to convince you then maybe the fact that this season there are currently at least 8 cubs in Ranthambhore. Whilst we know that nothing in nature can be planned, this season, the chances of seeing a tiger cub are as good as ever! Read More Tiger! Tiger! A New Season at Sher Bagh, Ranthambhore

At JAWAI we aim to give you, the guest, the best guided experience in India. And we mean it. As a team we are continually looking for ways to improve ourselves, test ourselves and grow. We have assembled a team of partly Indian, partly South African naturalists who will strive to change the face of guiding as you know it. One of the best aspects of JAWAI is that it allows us the flexibility to run things at our own times, go for walks and truly come to grips with one of the worlds most dramatic landscapes, unhindered by regulation. The Leopard population is obviously our focus, but we are determined to convey to you the story of culture, history and life in this part of rural India. It is different from anything else and we aim to push the boundaries of the experience. Read More JAWAI – taking guiding to the next level
Leopards are widely regarded as the most elusive of the big cats. At Londolozi, however, they are quite the opposite. Established by the Varty family in 1926, it is among the finest private game reserves in the world. On our first drive we saw four different Leopards, and even a mating pair!
This was only the second time in my life that I have been fortunate enough to witness Leopards mating; the first time being earlier this year in Ranthambhore, better known to be finest place in the world to observe Tigers in the wild.
